How does Piccck.Me work?
Piccck.Me pulls in 50 new shots per category per day via the Dribbble.com RSS feed. It uses the WordPress RSS feed reader to randomly display two shots. When you piccck a shot that shot gets a point and two more shots are displayed.
What’s with the missing images?
Occasionally a designer on Dribbble will post an image one day, then the next day (after it has been stored on Piccck.Me) pull the image down. This causes a missing image on Piccck.Me.
We’re working on a method of automatically cleaning this up, but for now, it’s a manual (read slow) process.
What if I don’t like either shot?
If you’re really stuck on which one to piccck, you can click the pink “VS” dot in the center; note that it changes to “PASS” on rollover. Special thanks to Jessica Hische for this suggestion.
What’s the point?
One word: Fun.
As a Web designer, I often work on personal projects to hone my skills or just keep things interesting. Sometimes they catch on, and other times they don’t.
Is this really a fair survey of the creative talent on Dribbble?
Absolutely not. See the previous question.
Can I advertise on Piccck.Me?
Sure. Please contact me here if you would like to inquire about ad rates.
Can I buy Piccck.Me?
I wouldn’t exactly call this a frequently asked question. In fact, if your were to ask it, you’d be the first. Nonetheless, I would entertain any offer.
Who’s behind Piccck.Me?
Piccck.Me was conceived and created by me, Brian Miller, author of Above the Fold and owner of the Brian Miller Design Group.
